Migrating HTML to DITA

You can use the DITA Open Toolkit to migrate HTML to DITA. The migration tools are located in the demo\h2d directory. The tools are updated version of the tools created by Robert D. Anderson and published on developerWorks in 2005. The "Related information" section contains links to the original developerWorks articles, which contain detailed information about these tools and how to extend them.

  Before you can use the migration tool to transform HTML files to DITA, you might need to prepare the HTML files. The migration tool works only with valid XHTML files.
